About Cate

 

 

Cate is an award-winning illustrator and printmaker from Sydney and Edinburgh.

 

She works in her Northern Beaches studio accompanied by naughty miniature dachshunds, specialising in childrens' picture books. Cate also works at the UNSW Paddington campus as a lecturer and printmaking technician.

In 2023 Cate welcomes five picture books into the world, with three more in the works for 2024. Her images are created using a combination of pencil or ink line-work drawn mostly from life, and a digital layering of colour and texture.
